This design was actually taken from a necklace I wear. It combines three common symbols of the Christian faith, the heart, the cross, and the fish. The verse John 14:6 encapsulates the meaning behind each of these symbols. "Jesus answered, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life, nobody comes to the Father but through me.'" The truth that God loves us more than anyone else ever could is represented by the heart. The way to be with God forever in eternity was made by Jesus' redeeming sacrifice on the cross. The life that all disciples of Christ are called to is to be 'fishers of men'. This tattoo represent everything I believe and live for. |
