I started getting tattoos:
I'm really interested in tattooing and never thought I'd get one. Then I was diagnosed with three chronic illnesses during high school. My family and I went through a lot trying to get my illnesses diagnosed, treated, etc. I have Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and IBS and these are all "invisible illnesses." I'm constantly in a lot of pain, but I look fine. Then, my parents both had heart surgery within a year of each other. I decided to get a tattoo so it would be an outward symbol of the pain I've gone through and still go through and the triumph that my family and I had persevered through everything.
