I started getting tattoos:
I had always wanted one.. Even tried to do my own when I was 19.. I was in a 9 year abusive controlling marriage.. After I got divorced it was my way for showing my independence.. I love body art and I chose a picture that caught my eye.. Its a baby tiger.. Represents me starting over and feeling like a cub not knowing the strength I had..
I started getting piercings:
When I was married all my friends in the office I work at had tongue piercings.. I loved it.. It seems edgy at the time.. my now ex finally let me get it done only to call me at work the next morning every 5 mins to tell me how much of a slut I was for having it.. So I took it out even though I loved it so much.. So after my divorce I had to have it done.. Even though my family TOLD me I better not do it or I was out.. It was my way of saying HEY I'M MY OWN PERSON AND I CONTROL MY LIFE! |
