I started getting tattoos:
I was in the Army at the time. I had been married for just a few months and my new husband had a tattoo. So, one day, out of nowhere I say,"Let's go get a tattoo." He says, "It's gonna hurt...." Army base towns are full of Tattoo shops so we had no trouble getting a "walk-in flash-off-the-wall" tattoo. I got the traditional black panther on my left shoulder blade....It wasn't horrible but it was nothing spectacular and as it aged it got less and less spectacular. I got it covered a little over a year ago and am so much happier.
I started getting piercings:
I actually got my first piercings at age 6. I assume that traditional ear piercing still count...LOL. ***Flash forward to being in the army and getting out of the habit of wearing them*** Got My navel pierced several years ago but it just wouldn't heal so I finally took it out. I recently started wearing earrings again, then making jewelry, then I got second holes in my lobes and started stretching them. |
