I started getting tattoos:
This year (2008), because I realized I'm turning 50 and always wanted one, so I did it! Also was my first time to fly overseas to Scotland, wow what an experience and it opened my eyes to my boring little matchbox world, so I was ready to experience new things and this tat helped get things rolling.
Update: went back to Glasgow and got 4 tattoos while I was there, can you spell A D D I C T E D ? Yep I am and love it!
UPDATE----Managed to get 2 more in Glasgow this July '09 at Johnny's Tattoo Studio on Bain Street. Love those guys there! One more butterfly on my neck under the first one done last year and a personal one on my right hip of a yellow rose (of Texas) that I'd thought about for quite some time. Will probably be a while if I ever do get more, but if I do, it'll be in Texas.
I started getting piercings:
Actually I was younger than 13, more like 11 or 12. I have 6, 4 in lobes, 2 helix. Never really wanted any in other areas.....................yet. |

I think tattoos are a great way of expressing your thoughts, memories and favorite things on your body for the world to see or not see. It's your choice, your skin, your artistic freedom! Gotta love that :)
