Me and my boyfriend, soon to be husband are wanting to get matching tattoo's but can settle on what to do? Any ideas would help. WE have been down the whole list of what stands out between us, inside jokes, the whole eternity, lock and key.... so anything else would help us

i've never been a big fan of matching tattoos.....don't see the point really....a tattoo is a form of 'self' expression, not what someone else wants....if you both really want to get tattoos, then go together but get something different....why not think of something that you're both interested in and get similar tattoos....just not matching....and please, please, please do NOT include your names....

I just read this to my co-worker who has a neck tattoo from her ex-fiance.

We both laughed heartily.

My advice? Get a tattoo that won't make you want to rip your skin off just by looking at it in 5 years.

Are you asking people you don't know what you should get marked on your body forever?

That doesn't ever get old, does it, y'all?

Not just you, you say? But your bf, too? I've got it!

Matching tribal tramp stamps! C'mon! Matching tribal tramp stamps!! Search your feelings. You know you want it. :P

sadie, you and your brother will always be siblings.

OP, listen to aivanne. In all seriousness.

No good can come from getting matching tattoos with a fiance/boyfriend/girlfriend/whatever.

True that..

Whats the best that can come of it. You both have matching cheezy tiny tattoos forever.

Whats the worst that can come of it???(Fill in the blank(s))

:pukeright: okay sorry.... seriously, don't do this. You can get tattoos together, but not matching ones...save that for your 20 year anniversary. if you can make it 20 years, then you can consider matching tattoos. I hope it lasts forever, but sadly, you always have to hope for the best and plan for the worst.

Since I was just watching that episode of How I met Your Mother (with the BritBrit cameo!)
I suggest you both get matching butterfly tramp stamps <3

In seriousness you should only get tattoos dedicated to a SO if you've been together for a long time.......like as a 30th anniversary present.

I agree with this. Go together so its a moment you share as acouple, but for the love of all that decent, holy, and /or completely sexual, don't ever ever ever ever get a matching tat or a name of a lover on your body. You think you'll be together forever, but the best laid plans of mice and men....ya know.
