It's so hard to pick just three, but overall I'd have to say:
1. Miller's Crossing
2. Apocalypse Now
3. The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly
That's a period gangster film, a war picture, and a western, so I guess that covers all the bases (except horror). These are three I can watch over and over again.

This is tough...
1. Last Samurai

2a. Dark Knight

2b. (imnotatfault did it) Batman Begins (because I've still only seen Dark Knight once so just in case I through this in)
3. LORT Return of the King... It's a long enough movie that I can watch it multiple times and still be suprised at what happens... I get what happens in each movie confused so it's like watching for the first time all over again.
Can I do honorable mentions? ... never mind, I won't. I would be here all day.
