Josh Roelink handsdown for Japanese from tatudhama in sydney
Kyan Forreal at Inner vision in sydney is up there too
Quite a few others who do solid Jap work too (Jason Bell who is close to finishing my sleeve does some oretty solid Jap work - but admitably no Jos).

Haha I'd rather not wait 2 years just to get a tattoo. Though his artwork is very impressive. I've heard of Inner Vision and I've had a couple of mates get tats there. I'll check out this Kyan guy, see if he's any good. Thanks for the suggestions mandingoshred wrote:Josh Roelink handsdown for Japanese from tatudhama in sydney

boy iv been away for a while, just found the thread.
im in sydney also; but im more into newschool / oldschool stuff myself.
sydney does have alot of talant, but as for the style your looking for?
try Jason Bell from Ocean Ink, im sure theres plenty of others but hes the only one I can think of off the top of my head; for good jap pieces (in my opinion) melb has more selection in terms of compitent artists.
im in the same boat right now, my artist is just about to move back to melb so im in need of a new regular shop

Yeah Im seriously considering just going down to melbourne for the week and getting some ink done down there. Would be cooler if I could get it done in Sydney though.

Awesome. Worth a chance hey. Where exactly do they hold these conventions? Like The Sydney Convention Centre or something a little smaller? How do they work?BadTaste wrote:Sydney convention? I think its in march. might get lucky.

As I mentioned earlier, Jason Bell is doing my sleeve at the moment. His jap work )and non- jap work too) is pretty damn solid. Also a top bloke too. At my last session two weeks ago he was booked up until June I believe. A reasonable but not insane wait.choo wrote:boy iv been away for a while, just found the thread.

Kyan has a massive wait list. I think it is around 12 months (although he does do walkins on Saturday, but obviously you can't do that for multi-sitting pieces).
Who is that?im in the same boat right now, my artist is just about to move back to melb so im in need of a new regular shop
