Hey everyone, I was just searching on the internet for a good tatoo forum and it looks like I've found one!
I've been planning on getting my tattoo for over a year now, and now that I finally turned 18 a couple weeks ago, I think now is the time.
I'm going to Camden in London, UK tomorrow to find a good tattoo parlour. I'm getting CHSD on the inside of my right wrist. Below is a picture.
This tattoo means a lot to me becuase (don't laugh) I'm a bit of a magician and I really like cards and everything mystical about them.
I was wondering if there's anything I should do to prepare for my first tattoo? How much does the inside of the wrist hurt in comparison to other places?

I have the inside of both my wrists done. This doesn't look too complicated so it probably will not be that bad. However, this can be a very tender spot, but if this is something you want, the pain won't matter. I mean I did BOTH the insides of my wrists. It can't be THAT bad. GOOD LUCK! It's fun! |

Thanks man. I'm kinda nervous about it, so I guess part of the reason I came here was for some kind of reassurance.
Also, I don't want my parents to find out about it (not yet, anyway), but it should be relatively easy to conceal, cos it's on the inside of my wrist. Would I be able to wear like a cotton sweatband over it? Or does it need to get air and stuff.
Thanks |

You can't put a wrist band on it until it heals because you need to not only give it air, but put ointment on it and stuff. Loose long sleeve shirts are ok though. It will be awesome when it's done! I like cards too, but the poker type of cards. |

| I just had my inner wrist done last week and honestly it didn't hardly hurt at all. I didn't try to cover it all at and I spent 2 hours the other night with my mom and she never noticed. You aren't going to be able to cover it up for probably a couple weeks. There is a lot of good info about healing on this site and I've personally done a ton of research if you want to talk about anything related to healing. You are not going to want to re-bandage or cover it while it's healing though. |

lando45!!!
I live in London and Camden Town is the last place I would do a tattoo. I've seen few studios there - they are untidy, and definatelly not hygenic! Maybe not all of them but most of these which I saw. I would afraid of getting some disease there... think one more time, please (or it's too late, I hope not).
Camden Town is wicked punk-rock place, I know, but i would be careful with choosing the studio there. It is much better to find a highly-skilled artist and do tattoo where you can be sure everything is clean and hygenic, not necessarily on Camden. _________________ "The question is not how far. Well... I did mine in Poland but few of my friends told me that the guys there: http://www.tattoolivingimage.com are very good. I mean - they did their tattoo there and I can say honestly that the work was really well done. I'm not sure... maybe you will find another good place... but it is worth to look for good artist with clean studio
I hope I helped.
Take care,

| OK so I got it! I went to Eclipse in Camden, lots of my friends with tattoo said it was good there, and it certainly was. It did hurt a lot, but wasn't like "agony" - also, the pain felt kinda good in a way haha. It looks cool, I'm v pleased with it, I'll take a photo and put it up in about an hour after I take the clingfilm off. |
