guy missed the tour bus AGAIN.........
so, we're walking up the mountain to a overlook, taking in the sounds of nature,,,,,, and i start thinking" who the hell is blasting that boombox"....as we get closer, it sounds more and more like a real piano............maybe he should team up with the guitar dude .....
from the mastodon graveyard...... when we first started walking around, we thought that it was a repro of the dig...............but then we realized that these were the actual bones
and in case the ladies have to take a nature break....
after walking for 4 hours,,,,,,,,,,,,we finally found a mountain stream and i was trying to figure out where the fuck we are

we flew into rapid city, SD.........spent 3 days in custer, drove to the badlands, deadwood, and surrounding area.........
stopped by the minuteman missile launch site.....
then we drove 9 hours to yellowstone,,,,,,,,,,stopping at devils tower on the way..,,, that is one big rock...
stopped to chat with a pan handler along the way....
and this guy was a little too tough looking to mess wiht...
found this poor guy during one of our hikes.........
hiked ALOT.............took abunch of scenic pics, unfortunately they do not really do justice to what it was really like in the grand scheme to things
spent 4 days there and then drove 4 hours to grand teton........
bought some tires for my truck and had them shipped home...........
we were supposed to fly out from jackson hole sunday afternon, but the airline stranded us there because of mechanical problems.........they put us up for the night, they weren't gonna get us another flight until tuesday,,,,,,,,,,so we drove 2 hours to idaho falls the next morning and finally made it home.....
60ish miles hiking and 1400 miles driving...........

Awesome trip. I'd love to get out west some day. I recently camped on an island in the middle of the Susquehanna for a weekend with a bunch of friends. I love outdoor trips.
Those are some giant tires. I've flipped a couple in my time, and those are probably way over 2,000lbs. |
