Im looking to get my first tattoo, im 21 years old, half lebanese, half english. I have had many ideas that i am very glad i didnt put on my body. I love arabic words, angel wings, and crowns. I feel like those arent very original, what id like as a greek god tattoo on me but of him as a statue. This would be very big so i was planning on getting a little quote on me to warm up and see how i like having ink on me. I would want it on my ribs/obliques because that would be the most aesthetic spot.
I was wondering what you guys think would be the best way to place lettering like down my side or on an angle fitting in my defenition lines, or higher up kindof under the pec.
Or do you guys wish you just went all out on you first tattoo and think i should start looking for the best artist to draw me up a stencil from the pictures i have and get the statue done on me? Also, how do you post pictures? |

| ^ i cant tell if youre being sarcastic, i think lettering down my side would be sick too but ive had some bad ideas. It would also take up real estate for my greek statue so i would have to put that on my back. How can i embed pics? id like to show you guys my ideas because you give honest opinions and id rather you laugh at something i want to get rather than the tattoo i just got. |

Yet a quote on your ribs is?
Get the statue. Find a good artist and you'll have something that you'll love. |

lol @ Jimi haha
I feel like at least half of the new posts lately have been about getting some type of lettering tattoo.
OP for what it's worth, if you really like tattoos, and you've liked them for a good while, and you've been wanting to get one for a while, chances are you're not going to suddenly dislike tattoos once you get one of your own. Unless you get something boring that you get tired of after a while.
Like a lettered quote.
Everybody says it and it's true: tattoos are addictive. So get what you really want and don't worry about "warming yourself up to it". |

I think it is the kind of piece that needs to be done by an incredibly artistic and technically proficient tattoo artist. Basically, a tattoo artist at the top of his or her game. Anything less it could be a total shit show. Choose wisely. |
