but yes, people are going to judge you. if you aren't strong enough, i wouldn't suggest getting your thighs tattooed or showing off your legs. also, just fyi... thigh tattoos hurt like a bitch. Smile

I'm a fat chick with a thigh tattoo and I love it! It makes me feel like if someone looks at my thigh, whether they like the tattoo or not, they will notice that first instead of my imperfect thighs! I remember searching the internet and tat forums for a fat girl with a thigh tattoo and I couldn't find a single one! So I just went for it... Mine isn't finished yet I still have a lot to be done (the music notes are going to have a dripping effect, they haven't been left unfinished by accident!) but this is what it looks like on a chubby, short leg!

Oh and to fe, my thigh tattoo didn't hurt too much! But I think I have a pretty fat freakin leg ha!

Thanks guys, I love it. I love the whole twisted fairytale thing but wanted it completely original, although I do like the Alice in Wonderland theme/feel!

Well my thigh might not look that fat, but I'm about 3 stone overweight and I'm only 5ft 2 at the most, so my thighs are really chubby. When I googled thigh tattoos, it was beautiful toned, long, thin legs. So I can kind of see what the OP is worrying about, as I was the exact same. It's given me more confidence about my legs, because now I have a lovely (in my opinion haha!) piece of art on a less than perfect part of my body I want to show off!

Smile hope it helps. To the OP, just GO FOR IT! (if YOU are sure and YOU want it/will like it) !

Ha! I don't wish I have size 00 thighs, but I wish they were a nice size 8 or 10 even. I suppose I think the issue is confidence, and I do know my thighs are big, because I was a dancer and a figure skater since I was 3 til I was 16, now I'm 20 and all the muscle has turned soft haha!

But I think it takes the self consciousness away from the cellulite or lumps and bumps! The only thing is when people know you've had it done and want to see it you need to take your jeans down Shocked

ps; The picture was for my blog so I didn't want my leg to look too fat for viewers, so this isn't a good angle for capturing my lard Cool

I need to lay off the chocolate, that might fix it! I have pretty strong legs, so anyone who makes fun of my tattoo I will crush them with my thighs. OP should do the same. Fat thighs FTW!

Why dont you lose the weight and get the tattoo after as a reward cause it will look better on a fit leg than a flabby one. Its good that everyone is supportive but maybe people like me arent posting in here. I think you should stay away, if your self concious about your body now why bring more attention to it. Tattoos are aesthetic and i think being overweight will ruin the tattoo and make you look worse. Its my opinion go ahead and flame me but its what alot of people are gonna think out there if you can be happy with it and not care about anyones opinion props, i wish i could be like that.

alanasomethings tattoo looks great and i wouldnt judge but you want to lose weight to get to 200 and thats just too awkward and gross IMO.

You're more than welcome to your opinion, but the OP probably has little interest in the opinion of an ass.

Being healthy is definitely important, and sure, everyone should do their best to reach that goal. Alana is right in that tattoos can have the effect of giving the wearer more confidence in their appearance, and more confidence = more self-esteem, and you know what is a big contributor to overeating? Poor self-esteem. Maybe the confidence the OP gains from her awesome tattoo will help her feel good enough about herself to WANT to lose the weight and believe that she can.

Just be healthy, who cares what you look like. You might have to conquer years and years of social pressure to finally come to that nirvana, but you'll be happier.

More skin = more canvas!

uh.........the OP is the one that keeps refering to herself as overweight,,,,,,,from her first posts about her first tattoo........

it appears that she is actually trying to bring attention to the fact that she is overweight......

fwiw, a buddy of mine just had his stomach reduced,,,,,,,,,cost 32k..........insurance wouldn;t pay anything....
so he ahd to borrow money from friends,,,

he admits is is best thing he ever did,,,,,,,, no more sleep problems, not ashamed to fly, having to ask for the belt extender,,,the list goes on,,,,

and he now has a gf and getting laid..........Smile
