i can't see enough of the tattoo but i think it's fair enough to just disregard that whole angle. obviously it's a reproduction of his kids drawing, and even if it's technically solid, i don't think anyone is trying to pass it off as a masterpiece.
from what i've gathered, the thing that is supposed to make this tattoo awesome is the idea. |

or, it's really gonna mess with her head, possibly getting the idea that everything I do is outstanding and worth permanence - and therefor I need to be an artist. |

This. Just frame the stupid picture if it's that precious, hang it in the living room and be done with it. Unless there is a really cool story like the girl was in a life-threatening coma for three years and when she miraculously came-to she drew this picture from her hospital bed and said "this is what I saw in my dreams, daddy"...it's really a dumb tattoo. |
