so i got this tattoo last year (picture) for my girlfriend, which is now my ex... she has the same tattoo on her hip and we got it because we planned on being together forever. yes im a fucking idiot but i actually planned on engaging to her this summer before she ended things last month. now i walk around with her on my arm and i dont want that anymore. is there anyone out there than has ideas how to change this infinity sign into something else? im getting a suit/tie job in nyc so i cant really do anything extreme that it can show. any advice or help is greatly appreciated. thank you!!

Working in NYC?
You've got lots of options.

1st - be patient. Do your research and eventually get settled on a permanent idea/theme/style before you cover it with another mistake.

What other interests do you have?

it's not like you have her name tattooed on you.......it is just infinity .... or a ribbon bow tie.........

leave it alone.......

Do a giesha chick with the bow in her hair, or a skull with that as a bowtie... Big Bold Bright.

I'd rather have an ex's name on my arm than that lame ass tattoo, even if you were still together. Just boring..

How about putting right under it, "Infinity is Relative" :D

You're lucky to have the NY options. That could be redone into probably anything. Go pick an artist and pay them a visit.

an artist will be able to help you translate your "likes" into a proper cover up. go talk to a few artists and get their take on it. :)

You live in one of the best places in the country when it comes to finding talented tattoo artists. Seek out some good artists and get some input. Maybe look at some tattoo mags to get some ideas and start brainstorming. Maybe a few laser treatment sessions would fade it enough so a cover up would be easier.

Hit up Tim Pangburn in Philly or even Johnny Thief in NJ. Both have extensive experience with cover-ups.

A big, black panther should cover that nicely.
