I would assume that Shige has quite the waiting list, but I am not positive.

Yeah he is a few years long now. A couple of people on the forum have been tattooed by him I believe.
From what I have heard you need to travel to Japan just for a consult/chance to get on the list and you need a translator.
It would take lots of time and money but totally worth it.

Yup. For the ultra-serious only.

Aye, it's like a lamborghini in tattoo.

im getting tattooed by him this winter/fall and let me tell you it is ONLY for the ultra serious only.

So, I've been thinking about that smoke or water dilemma. Personally I think it would look best with smoke to this dragon, but I don't know if I got enough space on the inside of my upper arm to fit a samurai with good details. But I've been sniffing on the idea of doing a koi or a koi dragon, now we are talking a 3/4 sleeve. Starts on the forearm as the koi and the end result is the dragon which I already got. Adding waves and a few flowers. What do you guys think, got some ideas?

Are you thinking all or mostly black/grey?

If so, I vote smoke.

the flowers are going to be colored, also the koi if it comes to that.

But if I'm going with the smoke, samurai and tiger idea it will be mostly black/grey, the samurai in a black/red armor, and the tiger in orange of course.

I've decided to go for a half/chest sleeve, with water, a few tigerlilys and a koi dragon with this arm. I don't feel I'm gonna get enough space to get the samurai and tiger the way I want them, so that is maybe a project for my other arm. It seems like I'm gonna get an appointment with Marius Meyer, so I'm really looking forward to this.

That's cool. Are you already in Europe, or is he coming over here for a guest spot?

Colored water is not traditional, so it really should be black/grey. Plus b/g water adds contrast

Ohh, yeah I want the water in gray/black. Only colour here will be on the koi dragon and the lilys. I think that would look good, as my dragon is mostly black/grey.

Yeah, I'm leaning more to the smoke.
About the head, I can see how it might give that impression.

The artist is from Norway, can't link you any portfolio right now.
I'm sniffing on the thought of getting my second sleeve done in japan. I've been looking into Shige from yellowblaze, and I think his work is amazing.

I just googl'd him and wow Shocked
