I dont dig the background at all. And you have to do something about the way the background just stops at the neck.

| I really like the colours so far, apart from the big black bit but like others have said it might gel a bit better when the dragon is coloured in. Looking forward to seeing the final result. |

I don't think there is any way to change that now, but it dosn't bother me. |

Nah can't change background now, it won't catch the eye so much when dragon is done, looking pretty good overall, cool

| I'm confused. The dragon and phoenix look great. Well done. The background just looks awful. All in all, it doesn't seem planned out right. It doesn't flow. I'm confused how an artist can do so well with certain aspects but not really shine in others. The top completely deters from the rest of the piece imo. Not a horrible tattoo by any means like someone said, definitely better than a lot of work. Just that background... |

well i dont know the artist, but it could be a matter of taking flash or reference from other pictures, and ability to draw well, just haven't learned composition or planning very well. or didnt gather reference for windbars and smoke. its looking good, id be more of a fan if it had a definate color scheme.

Sorry for the crappy Pic, colors look way brighter in real life, I will try and take some better ones. Here is an update on the progress, Thanks for the oppinons guys. And like I said befor I am really happy with it. Also, Artist likes the belly on the Phoniex Open like it is now, just skin color. I think it looks unfinished and should have something going on on his belly. What do you think?

| I agree, some color or shading on the belly would be better. Looks strange with just the natural skin color. |

| I like the dragon and the color but the back ground is killin me. It looks like it was put on with magic marker. Maybe you can have the dragon tail come back out over your left shoulder right up against the background.The bright color from it might make the background less noticeable. |

Yeah the marker thing has already been said a few times. In the Artist defence it is a cover-up and it looks way better that what was there before. Im not gunna streach this peice any further than it is. The left arm is getting started in December, by a different artist and I'll talk to him how we can transition from the black blob to kinda add some flow. Thanks for the input |
