| I can do it too and I'll do it for a Q'doba chicken burrito. I expect payment in full first, though. I can draw it on you with a Sharpie of your color choice but you have to pay for the flight out to O'ahu and NO I will not show you around the island. |

LOL...seriously, a friend and I got some SPAM a while back...I made my girlfriend buy it for us...haven't had it since I was a kid. We made grilled SPAM & cheese sandwitches. We just kept laughing while we were eating them. Strangely, it tasted better than I remember, but it's been like 30 years since I had the damn stuff.
Is it really as popular there as everyone claims? |

Spam and mac and cheese is the food of the gods.
Also, I like deep fried spam. _________________ A key that works with many locks is a MASTER KEY.

I'm sure if your doctor saw this, he'd be buying that new house in the Caribean he's been thinking about. |

We love pork and ahi (tuna) a lot as well ooh and Portuguese sausage is good if you don't have Spam but it really is great stuff. I had a Spam musubi today. You take some sticky rice with a little sesame seeds mixed in (if you want) and use a small rectangular mold to shape it and then slice the Spam, fry it and place it on top of your rice mold, then put some shoyu (soy sauce) on it and take a strip of seaweed paper and wrap it around the middle of the creation and BAM! you made--MUSUBI! Then you can wrap it in Saran Wrap and it's a great on-the-go meal...my favorite actually.
I don't eat it often because I don't want to be overweight but that's just me--there are a lot of not so healthy traditions here. For instance, mayo is THE must have staple here. People eat it with their chili or rice. Crazy huh? |

Sounds yummy!
I guess the story is that SPAM was, at one time, a military ration staple. And because of the occupation of Hawaii, and the Hawaiian love of pork, it just caught on, and actually supported the entire production of SPAM even after nearly NO ONE on the mainland ate the stuff.
But it is actually pretty tasty from time to time.
I don't think I'm gonna put it on my list of favorites any time soon...but being from a WWII era Russian family, of nasty military alcoholic gung-ho fucks(hanging my head in shame) I definately have whatever respect SPAM deserves to have. _________________ If you GIVE a man fire, you keep him warm for the day...but if you SET a man on fire, you keep him warm for the rest of his life.

| ...the best part about spam is the goo it comes packaged with. Kinda resembles snot, but tastes better. |

| Interestingly enough....uh....and as strange as it may seem....uh....yea....that jelly-like snotella goo is pretty good. I suspect it's the PURE EVIL that coagulates in the SPAM and OOOOOOOOOOOZES to the outside layers of the PIG LOAF collecting all that SODIUM on it's way, that makes it so Goddamn LIP-SMACKIN' GOOD! They call that OSMOSIS in polite company. |

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
That's not something you should admit in public.
It's like when you got drunk for the first time in high school and you and your best friend went down on each other....you just don't talk about it, and it's alright.
Unless, of course, you would like to describe (in juicy detail) the whole sordid mess in a private message. I like to think of myself as someone who people can come to if they need to "get something off their minds", so to speak. And if it never happened, feel free to embellish the truth, or just outright LIE, if it makes you feel better. |
