"Kelly Doty" style tattoo artist in/around Atlanta
Moderators: buttwheat, sidelvar, EvilJay, Sphenoid
I wanted to get a custom "Kelly Doty Spooky Character". Turns out she moved back to Indiana. I love color but have traditionally favored black and grey for me cause of my darker complexion, may be muted colors, most likely be the at the artists discretion.
Any recommendations for a comparable artist around Atlanta?(willing to drive couple hundred miles if need be)
A couple examples of the characters I liked ...

If her work is what you like, it will be well worth the money and travel to get it.Kermit wrote:I just almost saved up enough for her. I might just save up some more and go to her Fort Wayne, Indiana, if I cant find somebody I like closebybuttwheat wrote:Why not just go to Kelly Doty?
I have traveled several times to get tattooed, and never regretted it. I book the appointment so that I will still have one day left on the trip to rest up between the tattoo and traveling home again.
Ink And Dagger were the one's who told me she moved back. The 2014 Atlanta Tattoo Expo site blows cant see if she will be there or not.EvilJay wrote:Kelly does almost all the big conventions. Also guests sometimes at Ink and Dagger(Russ Abbotts Shop) in Decatur GA.
637 miles from my house to the shop LOL ... Just dont have the time to take off or the extra cash right now but I beginning to think I should probably just save up a little bit more and find time the drive up to see her. As usual, life and budget always rain on my parade.EvilJay wrote:How far are you from there now? Indiana to Georgia is not that far.. I've driven Michigan to Florida probably 20 times in my life..

I missed her in Atlanta also. Never made it to the consult. Love her work.
