Went to get my first tattoo yesterday. I was absolutely thrilled with the initial sketch, I'm not sure what you call it? Whatever is pasted to your back. I got up after the outline and saw it, still loved it. And then half way through the second half, he mentions the shading needle...I did not like what I saw when he finished it. I did not want shading at ALL. Says it was only a light grey wash and it will fade but I am horribly disappointed. This tattoo had so much meaning packed behind it, and I grew up with the shop owner's daughter.
I had the tattoo that I wanted and then he ruined it.
Hoping to God that it fades into the tattoo that I did want and not this.
Is there anything I can do, any hope? Should I bring up my grievances with the artist?
