ya i met a guy who had a labret but had to take it out because the jewelry was scratching against his gums and his gums inflamed into his teeth. i was wondering if this is a common occurance or not. thanks

yeah man; my piercer lost all his bottom teeth due to his labret jewlery rubbing: its a common occurance but if you get a experienced piercer to do it they should be able to place it somewhere suited for your anatomy.

also ptfe jewlery will lessen the risk as its softer.

the guy who did mine said not to use a retainer until 2 weeks is up...

and all the websites have a warning that says retainers are for healed piercings only... so I wouldn't risk it.
I managed to talk starbucks into letting me keep it in for a week while it finished healing a bit.

Ahh hI worked at starbucks all of last year....they're real sticklers. A co-worker had a celtic knot tattoo (actually, I think it was scottish, but that's beside the point...) on his right inner-wrist and they made him put a coffee sticker over it to hide it. The sticker was a lot more obvious, if you ask me, seeing as how it was bright colors and the tattoo was black.

About 200 on the pain scale of 1- 10
Start your own thread instead of digging up a 2 year old one

and to answer you question, no body knows. Everybodys pain tollerence is different. I have friends that said it was the worst one they had and some say they cant feel it compared to others.

The worst part in my opinion is the healing time and doing it right. The first week really sucks brushing your teeth etc.
