ear piercing

I finally got around to piercing my other ear, since I've been wearing an earring in my right ear for years. Everything went well until the fourth week when the back of the earlobe started getting a little sore and it felt like it had a tiny knot in it, which I assume is from swelling But it was not red or anything like that.
Anyway, I took the earring out and started wearing it for only one or two hours a day. It is much better and I was wondering if I will be able to wear it for longer periods of time, once the earlobe fully heals? I was wearing a stud with a stainless steel post for the first four weeks and used a saline solution to clean it out every three or four days. I have since switched to a 10k white gold stud and it seems to be working, albeit for only one or two hours at a time.
BTW, I also pierced my naval at the same time and haven't had any problems with it. I will say that it goes nicely with my lower back tat and toe ring, though

You might have been allergic to the earring. I have a friend who can't wear sterling silver and has to use surgical steel.
go to a piercer: buy quality jewlery, im pretty certain you will find you have a sensativity to the jewlery your using.
(in order of body compadibility)
1: bioplast / ptfe / teflon (awesome stuff, very good for your body but its kinda clear and some people dont like that: you still get metal balls though)
2: titanium (bit more expensive, fairly common, good stuff and very light)
3: surgical stainless steel (most common)

right ear pierced first, prefers white gold earrings, has a picture of a guy (assuming it is him) in a gstring as an avatar, wants a roadbike (and earrings to match it)....
yep... he's gay.

LOL, I think you might be right, but, there's one small hitch, I still like making out with an attractive woman. Some of the tattoed ladies I've seen are a real turn on, especially if they have a lower back tat and nicely painted toe nailsInkHo wrote:I hate to be the bearer of bad news....
but....
I think you.....might.....be.....gay.
Yup, that's me in the avatar. But you left out my lower back tattoo and toe ring (also white gold)jjantzen13 wrote:right ear pierced first, prefers white gold earrings, has a picture of a guy (assuming it is him) in a gstring as an avatar, wants a roadbike (and earrings to match it)....

well, I do have to say that there are MANY women who should have stayed away from tattooing or piercing. just because no one wants to see them show it off.
Truly, the most beautiful woman on the forum. I bet we would have a great time dancing to some nice rnb type grooves. Life's been treating me very well, although it seems to me like a lot of people are really stressed out, more than usual.evilrockangel wrote:LOL!! Linxy, I missed you!! Hows life treating you?
