Hey thanks Bad Taste thats quite helpful. I was actually considering getting some stuff done in NZ. They guys work you posted in the sticky was ridiculously awesome. Plus I live in Sydney so flying to NZ is like nothing, I could probably be home for dinner lol

And I'm looking for a Japanese-esque tattoo. Preferably more traditional style but if the art is great than I'm not really fussed

Hi I am based in Victoria, I like my artist but as my first tatt has begun to heal I have noticed a few things like coloring outside the lines and curves not truly curves. I know tattooing is different to pens and pencils but are these things things I should be concerned with or part and parcel of tattoo's?

Browse the profiles of "the best in the industry" thread then decide for yourself. Seriously...

Yeah man I had a look at that and really could only find one Australian artist in there. Forgive me if there is more and I missed it though, there was a lot to go through and I sort of glazed over a bit, 14 pages is a lot.

Does color outside of the lines warrant a new artist?

In my personal opinion...YES. If I am putting something permanent on my skin, I want it to be perfect.

Thats what I though, My wife cant pick it but I know its there and there forever. Let the search begin! I don't need the artist to be chacking and using clear eyes 5 minutes before a needle gets put in me for the first time ever lol

Trevor is amzing! I have alot of time and respect for him, and he gave me some fantasic advice when i was starting out. BUT, personally I'm all about Geordie Cole at Tattoo magic. I'm a total sucker for his style! so is Horiyoshi III apparently..just sayin :p He got his Hori title from him ^_^
