Has anyone let their tats dry heal?
I just got my first tattoo yesterday, and I know myself well enough to realize I might forget to apply my A & D ointment and lotion too religiously.
Any comments on fading on well lubed vs dry tattoos? |

| You want to use any ointment VERY SPARINGLY. I think that a dry tattoo is better than an over lubed one any day. Just don't pick at any scabs that may develop. |

I think I dry healed my dove tattoo..
I actually don't remember much about the healing of it, I just know I didn't pay too much attention. _________________ "I suppose the clock itself will wear thin its time before I am ended at this altar of dying and dying again" |

You never, ever want your tattoo "well lubed." That's a great way to develop scabs. Wash and apply a super thin layer when you get up and when you go to sleep. Once in between the first few of days. Easy!
Don't forget to switch to an unscented dye-free lotion after the initial few days of ointment. I use Aveeno. _________________

I actually dry-heal line-work 90% of the time if that's all I got done in the sitting. Aside from that, less is more. _________________ "Sometimes a Tattoo is Just a Tattoo.
