Whats so great about a sig?

For me it is all about how it feels in my hands when I'm shooting it. Hell the S/W m&p feels real good to me also but something in my head says a gun needs a hammer. At my local range for $20 you can shoot any or all of there guns, so I have shot a lot of different guns I just like the way the Sigs feel.

I think that kind of says it all right there. With so many similar options nowadays and with so many manufacturers trying to one up each other, I think it comes down to which one feels the best in your hand. It could mean grip design, length and circumferance, overall weight of the gun, sight radius, sight preference, etc. Some just feel better than others and you kind of know it's right for you.
There are also many very well made guns and I think Sig happens to be one of those. Accurate, well built and consistently reliable in my experience. Personally I own a Glock as well, it's similar in accuracy to my Sig and have had no problems with either so again I think it comes down to personal feel. So far, though, my DW 1911 and my new CZ outshoot everything else I own.

I don't care what manufacture a gun is, as long as the grip feels "tits" in my hands and when I point it I have the sites somewhat aligned, it has to naturally align for me.

A glock never did that for me.

I can't do that, the whole if it feels right thing.

I have a glock, which happens to feel right, but my cousin has a 1911 HK that feels amazing, but I don't feel comfortable trusting my life in internal parts that are melted down and created.

Sorry, not sure I understand what you mean here. First of all, what is a 1911 HK? Second, obviously if a gun feels right but is known to jam, misfeed, etc. then you sure don't want to trust your life with it but I'm not sure to which one you are referring with the melted down and created parts.

I'm confused too. Both metal and plastic are melted down and cast at some point, even if it is raw stock then machined. Not sure what you're getting at.?.?.?

On the Cpo (certified pre owned) any Sig dealer can get them. I have seen the prices vary by a $100 from dealer to dealer. The CPO program is ex cop guns that the cops trade in on new ones that are totally rebuilt by the factory.
On the 226 I just bought My son works at a pawn shop that is also a Sig dealer.

I didn't even think about that. I looked at the CPO tab on their site and it seems really legit. I guess I kinda assumed with guns new was always better/best. The way they seem to do it looks very good though. I can't wait to go up to see the dealer and see what he can do for me Smile

Man, I thought I was the only one who used "tits" beside my roommate. Whenever I say it in public, everyone gives me the wtf look Rolling Eyes

Maybe if you get a CPO it may already shot someone. Cops around here have been a little trigger happy(not a bad thing), hell 5 blocks down the street they shot a guy for a car prowl. My hats off to the Everett police that's one way to keep crime down just shot the little fuckers for stealing your change out of your ashtray.

I pick up my new gun tomorrow I hope it is in as nice shape as my son says. I bought it site unseen.

Picked it up today. I'm a little disappointed it didn't have night sites it has contrast sites. Oh well still a good deal I think.

Not yet maybe tomorrow can't wait.

On another note does anyone own a Taurus? I looked at a couple today they looked OK. I bought a Taurus pt101 about 15 to 20 years ago and it was the biggest pile of shit, I shot 1 box of ammo through it and then cosigned it the next day. I have been told they are better now any one know if they are?

I've never owned a Taurus and likely never will. I do a lot of research on handguns for myself and friends and have come across many unfavorable reviews on them. Again, no personal experience just what I've read which is they can be unreliable and prone to jams, misfeeds, etc. and have long, heavy, inconsistent trigger pulls. I think if I was to ever buy a Taurus it would be a revolver.

Well turns out I haven't had the best luck with this. I have had about a 5% failure to eject rate Mad Ive cleaned and lubed the shit out off it. So I was thinking of sending it back to Sig for their tune up sounds like a good deal to me what do you think?

That's actually a really good deal and with the addition of those night sites I'd say you would be a fool not to do it.

I just have to cover the bases on your ejection problem though. How familiar with shooting an automatic? The problem might simply be that you are "limp wristing" it. Grip your shooting wrist with your other hand tightly when shooting if the ejection problem goes away then you have a limp wrist problem. Easily fixed.

Another problem could be that you are using ammo the gun doesn't like, have you tried switching brands and types? Do they all have the same ejection failure rate?

Do you have more than 1 magazine? Do you have the same ejection failure rate with all your magazines?

What kind of ejection problem would speak volumes about what your problem is also. Is the casing staying in the chamber? Is it stovepiping?

Lemme know
