Real nice work, looks great. I also liked the story behind the apprentice/artist and the fact your not too proud to admit you could actually learn something from him.

Hardly. He used no visual reference whatsoever and drew it on me with a sharpie right before he tattooed it. But I guess all foo dogs look alike to some extent.

Love the color,it definitely has a soft airbrushed look. Cool story to go with the pics not to mention what a cool idea the Neuma machines are. Compressed air seems to be a natural for that application.

That's weird as hell. The similarity is uncanny. I dunno, maybe he'd seen that one before and unconsciously recalled it, but I swear he drew the damn thing on me without any reference in front of him at all.

The only thing he used as any reference (and that only for the flow of the piece) is the B&G foo dog on my opposite arm, which looks nothing like either of these.

Mine's better anyway.
