Hi,
I want to get my first tattoo soon and id like to design it myself. I know exactly what i want but Id like to get a mixture of different styles in one piece but im finding it hard to find inspiration with just the usual google searches.. Does anyone know of ways of finding fresh images of different tattoos to reference from ??
i hope this makes sense.. |

If you have to ask, let a tattoo artist do it.. It will for sure come out better in the end.. _________________

The best thing would be to simply write down a few things :
A. The iconography you're after
B. The styles you're looking to incorporate
C. The size of the piece you're looking for
Go to your artist with said list and explain it to him/her. He/She should be knowledgable in what makes a tattoo fall into a given "tattoo school" of design, and he should have plenty of reference as well.
From there, get their input on what they think would work the best and let them do their thing. _________________ "Sometimes a Tattoo is Just a Tattoo. Not everyone wants some giant piece of art. Some People just want a Tattoo, small and simple, and that's great!" - Joe Capobianco |
