Hello all, this is my first tattoo was completed yesterday 4-2-09. Tree of life with pentacle with my children's signs along with my husband and mine around the tree. Second photo taken with my camera phone so excuse the quality of the photo.

Looking forward to next tattoo.. |

Thanks for the welcome everyone. Nice to have others opinions on it.. The artist is a great guy very talented..

Generally, I don't dig the "dot shading" look, but this is a really nice piece. Very cool

Hi dreamer5 my next tattoo will be to remember my mother whom I lost at age 16 she was still young.. She was always a big naturist and had a thing for Ivy's so with this image on my upper left chest I will have Ivy growing over my shoulder across my back to my right arm where I will then add another piece, still in thinking phase of that one..
Here is the image I have done in photoshop from pieces i have found on the internet added her sign and dates.. As I am not a talented artist I can't draw for shit..
I give my artist this and see what he comes up with..
Not sure If I will use color or not..
As for the appointment will be a bit my husband is getting is first tattoo this week, then I will get my second one done.. |

if i might make a suggestion, sam....the ivy is nice but think twice about adding dates to your tattoo....a memorial tattoo can speak volumes without having any dates involved....dates are final, no need to add them...keep it simple and try to incorprate something else that reminds you of your mother....again, dates are final...you really don't want to go there....trust me. i almost added dates to my sisters' 'memorial' tattoo and i'm so glad i didn't...dates and numbers don't mean shit when you really get down to it....all that matters is how you feel about the person you are honoring with your tattoo.....
