Okay, so my first Summer with forearm tattoos is upon me. We actually got some sun this weekend and I got all paranoid, putting a long-sleeve shirt on.
I'm figuring on putting on the sunscreen, which I've always hated doing.
A question to everyone here who has forearm work: do you always/almost always/sometimes/never put sunscreen on your forearm work on an average sunny day (i.e. - not a special trip to the beach or hiking or anything like that)?
What SPF?
Any brands you recommend that won't make me smell like a tropical fruit?
Thanks.

If you like the tattoo then always use sunscreen even on overcast days. Use spf 50 that protects from both UVA and UVB rays. Just go to your drug store and smell them until you find one you can live with.

I dont have forearm tattoos, but I have my calf sleeved, and a little of the work on my arm pokes out near my bicep. I LIVE with sunblock. Any time I wear shorts, it's like deodorant, just part of my routine.

I put on sunblock when I can and if I can't then whatever. A grocery store baby sunscreen spf 50 that's pretty neutral smelling.

Get that bullfrog shit that is in like a big old chapstick tube. Easy to carry easy to apply and your hands don't have to get all greasy.

IF it isn't already it might be a good idea to put this in the total after care thread. Seems that it is useful to a lot of people.

I like Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock or the Neutrogena oil free.
It is easy if you make it part of your morning routine. Brush your teeth, comb your hair, and put on sunblock.
