Once upon a time, when only tattoo people wore "tattoo clothing", it was cool.
Now that Sailor Jerry and Ed Hardy fashion has invaded the malls, the sight of it on certain groups makes me want to puke. It's just not the same any more.
I've gotten to the point now where I tend reject any clothing with a design or a prominent logo on it. _________________ Matt Crunk

Have you seen how expensive that shit is? Man I have the utmost respect for Sailor Jerry and Ed Hardy but $120 for a fucking t-shirt?! It's almost as expensive as getting the damn thing on your skin.
Can't blame they cats for making money though. I just laugh at the idiots who pay for it. |

And somewhere some sailor from WWII is bitching about how HIS culture was stolen......
In any case, I do agree that it's a bit amusing to see what some dickweeds will pay simply because a few celebs told them that a certain fashion trend is "cool". My favorite, to this day, was seeing black kids that were wearing "Von Dutch" gear.....If anyone knew anything about the man, they'd see the joke there, lol.
In any case, IMO there's a difference between the blinged out, sparkly Ed Hardy gear and a line of shirts done on a smaller scale that are simply screen-printed tattoo flash designs from a given artist on T-Shirts and Work Shirts.
just my 2 cents on the matter. _________________ "Sometimes a Tattoo is Just a Tattoo. Not everyone wants some giant piece of art. Some People just want a Tattoo, small and simple, and that's great!" - Joe Capobianco |

| wear whatever you wanna wear! even if you don't have tattoos you can still appreciate design. Douchebags are still douchebags, ed hardy shirts or not. But honestly I can't stand those overly designed shirts, especially when they have metallic gold or silver on them =/ |

From what I've heard, Ed Hardy isn't even getting a cut on the clothing line. He got a lump sum for the right to use his designs and his name. Which makes me want to buy it even less.
(correct me if I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will) _________________ www.ProphBundy.com |

If that's the case then he got fucked. Yeah the designs you may be able to do like that that but his name is on all the clothing. He'd have to get a royalty for them using his name. |
