Mish-mash of religious iconography.
Can't regret it yet, just had my first session on it a couple days ago. |

Hm.. I suppose I can compromise with just the bold... I didn't really see it as "neon" blue.. just thought it was blue... the "cyan" would probably be more of a "neon" blue |

I already planned to get it, and already had the funds but since they didn't get me gifts for those occasions instead of thinking of something on their own they piggy backed lol...
Anywho, it was basically my gift to myself for my 21st (well at least half.. I always love to give myself gifts.. ) but moving on.. it's a dragon, very cliche... I know... but in my culture (as most others do) there's a myth that my people derived from a dragon king and fairy mating laying 100 eggs, which 50 were bought down to the lands to create the empire and 50 stayed with their mother in the mountains...
So technically (or mythical-ly) speaking all of my people came from a dragon... so there is a little bit of dragon in each of us... I was very specific with mines and it's very detailed orientated (as I am...) 5 claws was a must... since you lose claws going too far east (jap as 3 claws) and you gain claws going west... that's why there were no dragons in the US because they would have too many or not enough... to survive and fly...
Anywho, I don't have it wrapping around my arm due to work issues... (definitely not acceptable) so I have it coming out of my back... as if it was in me and now pulling itself out over my shoulder and to my chest... There is a pearl in its mouth (which I never seen tattooed before) and that will be for my future children and their names... the pearl is actually as close to my heart (literal location) as possible to actually represent my children will be the closest thing to my heart (yeah I know it's tacky..)
Back to the claws 5 claws represented imperial life back in the day and actually anyone with a 5 clawed dragon that wasn't part of the emperor family would be slain... but I believe due to my mother's struggling to America I feel as if I was gifted with the opportunity to royalty... As for the claws on the right hand (which again is closest to my heart, alot of metaphors) my brother, mother, and sister's initials are embedded into the claws (I have a very small family...) and on the left is my brother-in-law and uncle.. (both whom helped my family out drastically in their own ways... and I wouldn't be who I am today without any of them... literally) so they are kind of pulling the dragon inside of me out...
As for the scales... 21 of the scales are shaded a different color... to represent the 21 years I've been alive... and also to represent my birthday...
I know this is a long description... and probably the only online description I've ever posted... (most likely the last too) so I'll just stop here... there are a few more little details that are close to me but that's the overall picture... |

What?!?!
If you're talking about my previous post in the other thread, you're definitely researching wayyyy too much into this...
If you look at the original poster of that thread, her profile reflects a bday of 92' she would still be under 18... that's what I was referring to... I hope that "adds up..." |

I was 14, with a needle and some ink, I still have it, obviously it's been fixed, but it's still part of my sleeve _________________ One life, One chance |
