|
|
I had my first microdermal done a little over 2 weeks ago and I really like it. It hurt pretty bad (my piercer had only done a handful of these before) because the anchor would not "pop" in place at first but my piercer was very calm and supportive during the entire thing so I didn't mind. I definitely intend on expanding with more in the future. It has not hurt since I had it done and only just yesterday appeared a little red and crusty around the edge so I did a SSS and it is back to normal. Thankfully I'm not very busty so I don't have a problem with lots of movement or "squishing" the anchor when I lay on my side.
Now, I was looking at the threaded tops for these anchors and saw they have rings.. which got me thinking about how much I love corset piercings--how realistic would it be to have 2 rows of microdermal anchors that could be threaded with the ring tops and create a corset with - specifically going from below the shoulder blade (the bottom of it) to perhaps the top of the waist (the smallest part of the waist before it widens at the hips)? I know traditional corset piercings are not permanent but would a corset pattern done in microdermals possibly heal well? My concern is the amount of movement the back does, especially near the waist where the skin is less taut. I'm fairly sure the answer will be "no, it will not be permanent and any anchors near the waist will reject due to movement" but I'm not sure nor have I seen much information on microdermal corseting. If anyone has any suggestions, links, or advice that would be great. The reason I don't want the piercings higher is I intend on having a back piece done that will take up the space from the nape of the neck to just around the bottom of the shoulder blades. _________________ Sabarika

Ive seen them done.
To me it seems that MDA is more dependent upn the type of person you are an how you are with your piercings. I personaly can not heal nape piercings, I hit them on shit and am always pissing them off. That being said how will your body react while you sleep etc will prob play a big role. Also, you will not want to have the corset in all the time (especialy while healing) as the tenson could ultimatley cause you some greif.
If you do it go to someone with plenty of experience and project work _________________

Thanks! I would not leave a corset in for any period of time longer than a day I'd imagine, too much risk is catching if I tried to sleep in it. So far my sternum microdermal has healed well but I am not going to assume if it's OK after 2 weeks then it'll be great forever. I do imagine problems with clothing snagging and sleeping on any type of corset-design due to the number of anchors in the back as well as sometimes I sleep on my back which can't be good. I'll go find someone experienced with it to ask then. _________________ Sabarika
