Well I got it earlier tonight. Honestly.... I think its too big. All thats going through my head is "fuck, why didn't i get it smaller".
Its my fight teams logo, it means a lot to me, but I think its too big. Its not supposed to look awesome artistically, just a simple design with a lot of meaning to me.
I might add something to it later. For now im just thinking shit... too big lol. What do you think. |

| I'm not sure what the original logo looks like, but to me it seems like a good size and it fits perfect on the arm. Is this your first tattoo? I read a lot of stories about how people think they made a mistake because they got too small of a tattoo for their first. To me it seems like a good size. |

why did you not get a boy meets world themed tattoo?
this thread is very disappointing, for many reasons. Notably, the lack of a Mr. Feeney portrait.

yeah this is my first tattoo. if i had to decide now i'd get it maybe a half inch or so smaller. but i guess no use crying over spilt milk.
thats the team logo, but i got it in the original colors. i couldn't find a pic of the original team logo colors.
i think im going to get something added to it, just not sure what yet |

Here's the problem(well, there are alot of problems). The original design is not very interesting. It is not symetrical and doesnt flow with any contours of the body. I understand it "has deep meaning" to YOU, but to everyone else, it looks like you have some giant uneven triangle on your arm. As suggested in your thread before you got this done, there were a million directions you could have went to still incorporate the "meaning" and even the logo, and still have it asthetically pleasing, but instead you went with the straight up logo, and this is what you got. So many people won't ask themselves what everyone else on the planet except those few who are "in the know" will think of it. If you don't care what anyone, or everyone else thinks, then you shouldnt have any problem with the size or anything, as you got exactly what you wanted, and exact translation of your "team logo" on your skin with no regard for design or visual appeal. If I saw that, I'd just think it was a crappy design... Sorry...

Thanks guys
And eviljay- thank you for the honesty. I didn't like any of the other suggestions enough to change the logo so I went with this. My coach and his wife,my good friend, also have the same logo in the same spot, altough mine is the biggest. Wea re all very close and I didn't want to change it too much.
However I'm still looking for ideas to add to it |

| I would make it look like the triangles had some depth like they were cut out of 1/2" wood or metal. it woud be easy to add that and it and then it would be obvious that the shapes are not supposed to be symetrical...plus it would be more interestign to look at if you dont happen to be on a scottish marco-polo team or whatever it is. |

Doesn't it look backwards when you look at it? When you are showing it off, it will look right to everyone else, but isn't it backward when you look at it? It makes sense to have it like you do, anyone who sees it, sees it right. But does it bug you that everytime you see it it's backwards?
I don't mean to talk shit man, I'm a college wrestler and have been training with some fighters, I really respect the sport. But I'm a few beers deep and the question had to be asked.
If you like it, fuck everyone. The size looks fine to me, and I doubt anyone but internet assholes will say anything. |

hah yes, i meant to point that out. i took that pic with my mac and it automatically switches the pic for some reason. so yes the picture is backwards- its actually on my left arm, the picture makes it look like its backwards and on my right arm. but yes i should have pointed that out. its not actually backwards |
