|
|
I had this discussion with my GF last night, and have had it with other people in the past, and it always supprises me that people think I'm weird for buttering my pop tarts. I don't even eat them very often(like, a few a year), but when I do, it's just normal to toast them and put butter on them.
For years I just assumed everyone did, but then people starting looking at me in disgust like I had a cock growing out of my forehead when I'd make them, and they asked why I would put butter on them... So I'm curious.. I should note that this is only on toasted pop tarts... And if you don't like pop tarts, I don't care.. Start your own thread about not liking them. |

i haven't had a pop-tart in quite a while...in fact, i haven't even THOUGHT about them for a long time but the last time i did have one, i buttered it...so, you're not alone jay..NOT buttering it would be like not buttering toast, wouldn't it?? i mean, you've got the jamlike filling and the breadlike crust, so why not the butter?...just my .02 for what it's worth... _________________ life is short...don't waste it |

i think maybe a stylish beret would be ok...he could wear it at a jaunty angle and it wouldn't interfere with the abnormal growth.... _________________ life is short...don't waste it |

I put butter on any of them. The frosted ones, you are better off flipping over and buttering the un-frosted backside..
And Yorvo, the Brown Sugar ones toasted and buttered are great.. |

i have never in my life heard of someone doing that. I also did not know that they sell unfrosted poptarts, where is the fun in that? So no i don't butter mine, but i don't butter my toast either. Brown sugar pop tarts and a tall glass of milk, there is nothing better. _________________ Shred the Gnar |

i have never thought of buttering them, the way i eat them is to break off the edges and just eat the frosted part. Im going to try buttering them right now though.. _________________ Im never coming back and when i come back you will be sorry. |

I eat pop tarts all the time, and I honestly can't remember the last time I toasted one. I generally eat with the chocolate chip, the smore, to the double chocoalte pop-tarts, directly out of the box. _________________ "Sometimes a Tattoo is Just a Tattoo. Same here, I've never considered buttering them and probably never will. I also break off the edges and just eat the center with the filling. The edges are too dry (hmmm, maybe a little butter would cure that). |

| I could see this being good with that awesome cinnamon butter that you get at Texas Roadhouse (I think it's Texas Roadhouse). Normal butter, not so much, but I've never tried it. |
