I could see this being good with that awesome cinnamon butter that you get at Texas Roadhouse (I think it's Texas Roadhouse). Normal butter, not so much, but I've never tried it.

Normal butter on a brown sugar cinnamon pop tart = brown sugar cinnamon butter on regular bread....

I've never heard of buttering a pop tart, and I usually don't bother with toasting them, but now I need to try this.

Yeah, the chocolate ones are the best cold. I rarely heat up a pop tart, when I do it feels like a treat. Next time butter. I remember now my great grandmother used to butter everything. Every sandwich, no matter what kind, got butter first.

Frosted brown sugar and cinnamon right out of the box. No toasting, no buttering. Killer on cavities.

My grandma and grampa used to butter sandwiches as well. Like a turkey or PB and J would get buttered first. They also used to eat Saltines and Club crackers with butter. Thats a bit much for me. I love just buttered bread(like homemade or bread basket bread).

My favorites are the brown sugar ones, never tried buttering, I guess I'm weird for nuking them slightly so they'll be all soft and melty inside? Butter sounds Ok, will hafta try that!

Why eat pop tarts when you could have toaster strudels (sp?)

Do you butter the ones with that hard coat of frosting on them?

IMO pop tarts are way better than toaster strudels, they just appeal to me more.

I tried buttering them for the first time yesterday and they had the hard coating, so I buttered the unfrosted side and it was really good.

My whole family has always buttered pop tarts. I haven't had any in a long ass time, but once you taste them buttered, there is no going back. Nonbuttered ones taste too dry. Buttering pop tarts is no different than toast, so how is that weird?
