so.......i go out to the garden this morning to get a little lettuce for my lunch.....it's before dawn so i'm just clipping from memory .... i get back in the kitchen and go to clean the harvest.....and i discover this guy... i'm so happy i didn't cut him in half with the scissors.... although that would have been a far better hallowween story...

When I was little her in MI, we had them everywhere. Now I'm lucky to see one a year. Very cool bugs. They're really docile. You can pick them up. I think the disappeared when the prarie type fields around here went away...

it was really wierd......when i was carrying it back outside, it sort of felt like it was biting me....but it wasn't

Link Those things are all over the place in my home town, though they're generally a bit more green in color. I used to catch'em all the time when i was a kid. I have one that hangs out near my front door @ my porch light. He takes care of the moths and stuff that come around.
