Hi everyone

Im looking at getting my first few tattoos its taken me awhile to decide but I'm after 2 swallows on my chest and "beautiful Kaos" on my arm but I need help finding a nice font.

the styles I like are calligraphy free hand (you know with heaps of swirls etc) if anyone has some pictures or know where I can get pictures from would be great Wink

after those 2 are done, I'll work more on my sleeve for my left arm.

Just curious. I don't get the mis-spelling of "Chaos"

You realize people are going to come up to you and go "... they mis-spelled chaos in your tattoo?!"

Edit: Your tattoo artist should have good fonts, or a nice free handed one. Tell him or her what you told us and they'll hook you up.

And, if you're looking to build a sleeve off the words? Don't. If you want it to be a sleeve, plan it as a sleeve, don't go "Well I'll get these words and throw something else behind it" You'll get better flow planning it all together.

mis spelt is how i like it. In new zealand its quite popular to replace ch with k Smile. sorry should have said it would be on my right arm, sleeve on the left wink

the sleeve is majority pictures still deciding tho. I have about 3-4 sleeves I'm doing at the moment. At the end I'll go with the one that I like best and that more explains me as a person and the things I like

each to there own opionion. As said in the "my first tattoo" thread read before posting.

a tattoo is what ever YOU want, not what others want or think. so there fore your opinion doesn't matter.

Find one you like online, print out a sample and bring it in with you.

Ok. I don't care whats trendy, in 5 years or less when its not, you're going to be explaining to people "Oh it was cool to spell it that way in my day"

Just realize. You will be explaining to people. A lot. Or you will get funny looks cause people will be thinking "look at that retard, couldn't even get a word spelled right in his tattoo"

firstly, Im a girl and second not every word in the english dictionary has to spelt the right way, not like its a law. Laughing
just look at the usernames in this forum? child names? animals? billboards? txt language? magazines? with how and I'm sure as hell people have had tattoos in this style.

I'll spell my tattoo how ever I like it. Because at the end of the day, Its my tattoo and how I want it to be. I don't care if I have to explain it, I didn't ask you to correct my grammar, I have spell check for that.

so if you don't mind, id like to get back on topic of types of font.

No, its not law, its common sense. Usernames are changeable also, unlike tattoos.

I'm not telling you not to get what you want. Go ahead, get whatever you want, I was just warning you of what you will encounter if you do. And I don't care what you asked or didn't, you're on a message board, and you're gonna get opinions. Ignore it if you want.

I see people come through my work with mis-spelled tattoos.. you know what I think? "Wow.. I wonder if they were either drunk or flunked outta high school" Long as you can deal with that? Good on ya

Your font question has been answered as well, twice. You also answered it yourself.

I know but as it being a message board someone might also be looking for fonts. so it would save more time and less new topics if there was more then a few options.

I've taken your opinion on board, but I'll do things the way I want. After all it is my body and my money

Good on ya.

Problem is, most people don't look through past topics for answers. Just like you did.

I'm sure this question has been answered before, and it will be answered again, cause people don't research.
