I have just finished grade 10 and i am thinking about ideas for my first tat but so far i havent really found anything i like. I am a very laid back kind of person that likes to hang out with friends and basically just chill. I am a gamer i love first person shooters and rpg games the best. i am very open to all ideas for something in the way of design, design type, placement etc. the only thing i would like is i'd preffer to get my first tattoo in black and grey. i would like to get something that fits my personality and style. I am really not one to care about what people think so weather or not it shows does not really matter to me. any help or ideas would be awesome.

Um.... we don't know your personality or style. This is awfully open-ended. Like those girls that come into the shop and want "something" that day, they just don't know what. You seem like you don't really care WHAT you get, so go pick some flash off of a wall. Either that, or you can just go get all the shit I don't have room for.

Ok, sorry about the "open-endedness" I'll try and clear up some stuff. I collect fantasy knives and daggers (don't have any swords yet, hoping to get one), I collect coins, I am a huge fan of H. R. Giger's art work (was actually considering getting part of his painting "magus" on the bottom of my forearm). I am Canadian. I love darker kind of images as well as something you can look at for hours and still find something new everytime. I love optical illusions especially those where you know that something is wrong but you just can't figure out what. I am not a huge fan of landscapes although I do like images (painting, drawing, photo) of leaveless trees (dead or durring winter). The tattoo idea is open ended in the sense of placement, size, and design but i hope that this information helps you help me find an idea for my first.

When I think of "fantasy knives and daggers (don't have any swords yet, hoping to get one)" I think of a really big creepy tribal symbol... LOL i dunno? maybe thats just me.. But if you are looking for some kind of painting... thats really up to you to decide!

| I think you are too young and don't know what the hell you want and think you will regret it. Don't go out on a basis of your likes and personaility at your age, you will change 100 times over the next 2-4 years. |

I think there is some good info in your above post. Take that info and perhaps some of the images that you describe to a reputable artist and see what you both can come up with.

I'd like to say that i dont really think my age has anything to do about it, the reason that i want my tattoo is because my parents are in the process of divorce and it has been a difficult part of my life. i would like to have something that would help me remember this point in my life and to help me get over it. I feel that if i can get though this time I will have grown in some way and I would like to have something to be a constant reminder that i can persevere when things get rough. i dont want anything oober depressing though, thats why i dint mention this earlier i wanted to have some ideas based on my interests not my problems

Um... but wouldn't this tat NOT chronicle your life now but your life at that school in a few years (assuming you get in, go there, graduate)?
If you're having a hard time, go to a therapist.
