I got my industrial piercing done about a year ago and had never taken it out until almost a week ago when I had to have surgery. Since I had to go back in for follow ups that included CT scans I didn't put it back in.
That is until I tried today and I discovered it to be pretty much healed up. Is it normal for that piercing to heal shut so quick? I have other piercings and have left them out for an even longer period of time and had no problems. Do I just have to pay to get it redone, or do I just have to put a little more elbow grease into it and force it a little? |

Don't force it. If you tear the fistula you may very well end up causing a keloid. Your best bet is to go to a shop and either have it re-pierced or have the proper gauge tapered in. It would be tough to say what the best option is without seeing it in person. _________________ People hear what they see - Oddisee |

| Thanks for the reply! I think I'll give the taper a try. If it doesn't work I think I may just let it go. |

either way it should be done by a pro. Dont be a stupid fuck and try it yourself. Not worth the possible keloids. _________________ People hear what they see - Oddisee |
