HA! I actually just saw it on Talk Soup. Guess it was so bad that it earned a spot! It was pretty bad... _________________ Long has paled that sunny sky: Echoes fade and memories die: Autumn frosts have slain July. |

Hahaha oh man they were so messed up, it was ridiculous.
Like everybody else, Garver is my favorite followed by Kat. Kat is pretty much a babe. It's the only show I actually really watch consitantly, I like to see what people are getting done and their stories. And they have done some really cool stuff. |

| Hi all - according to my artist - he says they do not use the cleaness of setting and I have noticed that the cover up they do with tools etc, is not as much as it could be. And there is NO privacy which could turn some folks off. BUT I do enjoy the designs, the artists and yes how difficult it is to run any business especially such a one-on-one client based one. |

yeah, when the one guy was being a dick about wanting a tribal dragon, and then mentions the japanese dragon and is like, "what? it has hair?" and said Yoji's drawing looked like roadkill? WTF? That guy was an ass. I actually felt bad for Yoji, and to be honest I can't stand him. Can't play guitar and can't draw.
-------
but yeah, when Ari was being a total asshole about the rosary? Had it been me I would have told him to go fuck himself and left. He's not a PrimaDonna/Diva or some shit. He's paid *and paid well* to put what the customer wants. I can understand that he's jewish and all, but still, he's being paid for a service. Not every piece is going to be the grail of artistic satisfaction. Some of them are going to be bread and butter pieces, and that's it. I thought he acted like a total asshole and really wish someone would have called him on it.
Interesting that Kat is really the only one who doesn't act like a bitch.
______
on a side note? Chris Garver awesome!! I'm glad I finally got to watch some of these shows. _________________ www.secondskinstudio.net

| I loved the one that the girl got in memory of her brother. The fantasy angel/fairy with the big eyes & the tear. Any idea where I could get a pic of that at? It was awesome!! |

If it was a nazi piece HE would probably do it....It wasnt religion stopping him, it was his lack of artistic ability, he cant do small intricate work....LOL |

yeah but it was the way he was like, "WTF? I don't even know what the F*ck a Rosary means!! It's stupid!!"
I mean? he's all cussing and acting like an ass, but then at the same time he's talking shit about this image that this woman wants to permanently put on her body. Basically it was like when Garver didn't want to do that fairy, he acted like a pro, whined a little bit, but got the job done. He didn't go to the woman and act like, "are you stupid? why would you want a stupid fairy? It's a stupid image!"
I just felt that Ari was being more then just a dick, he was being a complete asshole. And I wish they would have flipped him the bird and walked out. That's what his behaviour deserved.
I have 4 jobs. One of them is a music teacher 3 times a week. I cannot even begin to imagine how many times I've taught someone to play Back in Black, Stairway to Heaven, House of the Rising Sun, Iron Man, or Smoke on the Water. Easily hundreds and hundreds of times. To the point where I really don't ever want to hear those songs again. But when a student asks me to teach them one of those songs, I don't roll my eyes and go, "Jeezus, what a stupid fucking song, why would you want to learn such a stupid song, only stupid people play those songs, you're an idiot."
I suck it up and teach them what they want to learn. That's my job.

The thing that got me, was that Ami acted in a completely unprofessional manner, but if someone else in the shop acts like that, he will be the first to call them out.
I think he was just feeling some heat due to Garver perhaps not being able to tattoo anymore, I am sure he brings a lot of business in for them. Also there was the whole big thing about them needing new chairs and such. _________________ Long has paled that sunny sky: Echoes fade and memories die: Autumn frosts have slain July. |

| yeah well the chairs should have been there to begin with....both artist(different shops I use in Birmingham), have great chairs and you would think for a TV show they would go all ut for their clients...And you are completely right about Ami....he is an asshole. I am in sales and I know that the second I tell a client I dont want to take care of ANY need they walk.....there are lots of places to get tattooed today!! |

I have a hunch when Garver leaves that shop it's not going to be quite as busy.
Yeah they're hot now, they're on fucking TV, you can't get better advertising. But 10 years from now it's gonna be skills and attitude that get clients in the door.
I think time is gonna be harsh on that store.
Just imagine 6 years from now, "Miami Ink? Shit, that's soooooo 2006!"

| The guys are only there for about three months out of the year. The other months there are completely different people there. Garver leaves Miami on the 15th of this month to go back to his shop called True Tattoo. |

Yeah I've seen him wearing his True Tattoo shirt.
I missed the episode where they were discussing his back problem. Is it really serious? Or will therapy and 'taking it easy' get him back into shape. It'd be a horror to be that talented and then not be able to do what you love. _________________ www.secondskinstudio.net
