| Yeah, it was really awesome. I can't believe that he sat through the whole thing in one sitting. That was a really big tattoo and it was in a painful place. He didn't even take any breaks. |

if you can't believe he did it, than he more than likely didn't do it. i haven't watched the show at all this season (to be honest, i think i stopped watching after 4 or 5 episodes of the 1st season. I don't currently have cable, so that has a lot to do with it), so i don't know the piece in question, but i DO know that they've taken 'liberties" in the past, implying that pieces were done in one sitting when, in actually, they were done in 3-5 sittings. It's the miracle of television and editing, and it makes for great entertainment. _________________ Just a small guy trying to get by... |

hmm, good point. I hadn't considered that.
I know quite a few people that say they enjoy Miami Ink, *I know I like seeing Kat and Garvers work* but I hear the same people saying INKED is just kinda dumb. What are you guys/gals thoughts?
Personally I wish M.Ink had even more focus on the tatts, but it's still a pretty cool show.
INK'D, idk,....Dizzle's pretty annoying, and it just seems like a big hype show without alot of substance. It's like pretty moving colors that aren't really telling much of a story. I just kinda find it boring actually. It's like they're trying to create drama, but it's just boring. And all any of us want to see anyway is the artwork from conception to completion, but there doesn't seem to be much in there.
but what do I know, I prefer books. I can pause em and rewind, fastforward, take em in the bathroom. Make little notes. Yup. Books are much cooler. Just read that Bushido book about Japanese tattoos and Hiromoshi III and it was pretty awesome. Much more so then TV lately.
anywho, what do you all think? _________________ www.secondskinstudio.net

| I agree with the "analology" of INKED Malik. It's like a soap opera for crying out loud, hardly any tattooing goes on. The last episode I watched was when the pubesant Dizzle mud wrestled with the secretary, I think it was... Where's the tattoo's? I want to watch someone get tatt'ed rather than see a little weiner get laid... I'm lost for words?! It's not that very well put together, "IT COULD BE KICK ASS" if they could show more art in the process of tattooing. |

I totally agree with you both here. Inked is too soap opera (reality TV) ish to me. I really don't care that much about the people to want to watch the show. I think MInk has a better balance. You get to see the tattoos and know a little bit about their personal lives, but it always relates back to how they interact at the shop.

Me too Malik I read more than I should actually..I work in a place with a lot of downtime.....
I watch Inked sometimes and it always comes off as if it is created by someone with more money than brains...Though they have showed more tattooing lately. LOL, I always feel dumber from watching it.....Dizzle aside I cant believe he actually works in a tattoo shop....more like a jiffy lube tech, right......I think Carey Hart is the rich kid gone bad....
BTW whats with that quote on your posts....!!!! |

"I feel dumber after having watched it."
Yeah, I think that's what it is. That's why I don't like it.
The Tattitude quote in my signature? It just made me laugh out loud when I read it, so I asked him if I could use it. It just seems that some days there are alot of, "what went wrong with my tattoo?" type threads, so I thought Tattitudes answer was kinda fitting. Since it seems like 9 times out of 10, that's what the answer is,..........or should be. _________________ www.secondskinstudio.net

INKED is a joke....and i wasnt at all impressed with H&H tattoo...i decided to check out the palms casino in vegas, im from sac and the owners of the palms own the Kings, anyways....i went to hh to check it out and maybe get a small tattoo to remember my trip.
well the shop is very small and there were to many "turists" in the shop. mostly buyin t shirts and shit like that. i was there for 20 minutes goin through books and portfolios. and not once was i asked if i needed help. kinda pathetic
but anywho, the show is a joke.
maimi ink is way better, i like how its more about the tattoos not the drama. although u still get slight drama on mi |
