|

| Ok, so here's one that I constantly get different answers on and wanted to see if there's a chance of getting one general consensus answer. After getting a tattoo, how long should you wait before you let the spray of the shower head hit your tattoo directly? I've heard some people say that the shower spray can hit the tattoo the next day, but just make sure you don't submerge it. I've heard some people say that you can shower, but you can't even remotely let the shower spray hit the tattoo for about 1 or 2 weeks. So, how long should you wait? |

| i have a lot of hours in the chair and i let the shower spray the ink the very first time. as long as you dont submerge (ie. bathe) you will be fine. |

| I'm always over cautious and try to avoid the direct spray for a day but that can be nearly unavoidable so it's not really a big deal. If so, I wouldn't stand under the spray continuously so it doesn't get too saturated. |

+1.
Stick it under on purpose for a short while to wash it, otherwise generally try to keep it away, and especially try not to keep it under direct spray for very long. But no worries if it gets spray, just pat dry when done. After a couple days, no issue at all. |

| i was told by my artist to wait at least 4 hours or so , but it just makes more sense to take one right before going for a few reasons (a: so your not smelly and b: you dont gotta worry about showering soon after lol) other than that, i usually shower the next day or the same night (depending what time of day i get it done-usually evenings so i wait) and it hasnt hurt any since.. its the showering in the peeling stage that gets me .. grr |

I shower a few hours afterwards. I've showered as soon as probably an hour after getting a substantial amount of work.. _________________
