| I'll be there in late April for 6 days and would like to check out a shop or two. Anyone been there? |

I haven't been to S.F. since I was a kid but I've heard some good things about this shop. I think the artists are on the traditional side.

I like their stuff, but Fly's looking at San Antonio.
I can't help you with there, but are you willing to drive 1.5 hours to Austin? |

lived in austin for 5 years, some dope artists out there. coughNICKBAXTERcough. Probably highly unlikely that you'd get in with him though. Worth a try for a world class artist. Also SA is less than an hour and a half away depending on where your at. I used to go back and forth for the weekends in under an hour. _________________ Shred the Gnar |

Not strictly traditional, but Jeff Ensminger's there, too.

I'll be on the west side of San Antonio. Nick Baxter is great but not my style. I think I may head to Rock of Ages in Austin and hope to get lucky with Steve Byrne or maybe Tony Hundahl. I've always loved Byrne so I may as well go for it. Thinkin of an armadillo and catctus filler. Something fun.

| While you're there, Uncle Billy's Brew & Que is right in the neighborhood. They've got 5-6 excellent beers and some of the best bbq in Texas. Usually a band outside on the patio, too. |

I've always liked Steve Byrne's traditional tattoos. |

I always enjoy a few beers and a nice meal after a tattoo session, thanks for the info. |

| Of course Steve Byrne was on vacation while I was down there. I didn't even make the trip up to Austin. Going back in a couple years, hope he is still there next time. |
