the shop: www.nextofskin.ca
the idea: http://www.aquahobby.com/gallery/img/Betta_splendens_14.jpg

I can get a bit of a discount ($50-100 off the total) if I go there...Does it look like they will do a good job for what I want? Or should I look elsewhere.

umm, your image was deleted from the server, so we can't see what you're talking about.... Confused

Maybe try using a free image hosting service & post it up again.

Kelly no and Tyler oh hell no. $50-$100 isnt that much for something that is going to look like shit for another 50 years.

I wanted it around 3 inches wide, on my side/ribs area.

Does anyone else share buckwheat's opinion?

Both artists are mediocre at best. And there's no way that much detail can go into a 3 inch tattoo. Minimally I'd say the size of both your fists put together.

Simplified? Why bother to do it at all?

You don't want to have people squinting at it trying to figure out what's going on. Don't go for the lowest common denominator.

I just wasn't planning on getting something that big yet. But obviously I'm going to still get it at the size and from an artist that will guarantee the best quality

do either of these artists seem like they could do the image justice?

Of who you have posted I think you would be best served by Richard Andrews.
