Whats good everyone just joined the sight after some lurking and reading some interesting threads.

I am right now in the process of doing a huge cover up on my right arm from top to bottom. Just last week I stopped at a shop in jersey called starlight tattoo, and the artist I chose to work on my cover up goes by the name of Danny Azaceta I put down a deposit of 50 bucks, is it worth it for this artist to touch my skin? Does anyone know anything about him?

Don't you think it would help if you included a link to the artist's portfolio?

And did you seriously say "tat me up?"

i like to say will you please "needleink my largest organ" ....a porfolio consists of an artists best work. he has 8. 8 average pieces. my answer is be happy you only lost 50 bucks. keep it moving.

and it REALLY depends on what you already have and what you are trying to get. with the amount of info you've given, you're pretty much asking what house you should buy, based soley on the question.

Its basically on my forearm a ugly grim reaper and 3 skulls attached, my top arm has the word mom and another bts I would like to get my whole arms basically done and cover up those hideous tattoos I have with a nice piece. Im pretty sure he has other work that is not showing up on that website. What would your suggestion be?

From the few tattoos we were able to see of that artist I'd agree with 36 in that he's average. And like reef said if you can post a pic of your existing tattoo it may be of help. There are some good artists in Jersey but the best cover artist is Tim Pangburn in PA.

And I was mostly busting your ass about "tat me up," that just sounded funny.

I'm basically looking for something similar to this type of style, if you scroll 4 posts down on the second page you will see what I am typing about.

Isnt starlight tattoo owned by that douche mario barth? I would not support him (except for his tattoo conventions). There are plenty of better artists/studios in ny/nj.

Why not support him? better yet why is he a douche? lol I won't be supporting him I would be getting work done there by another artist. What shops/studios you have in mind? I was hoping I wouldn't get to lose those 50 bucks but if you guys say I shouldn't bother then I guess I will stick with what you guys recommend.

In my opinion it never hurts to look at MULTIPLE artists just to make sure you're getting the best thing for you. Not trying to tell you not to use the guy you have so far but if you're not 100% sure that you love his work and would love to have him work on you don't feel bad about 'losing' 50 bucks, it'll be worth it when you get your ink and say 'Wow!'

I am going to hit him up tomorrow to see if he can email me some of his work that he has done in the past, he use to have a spot up in union city Lucky's Tattoo. That dude Jay that works in the same facility as Danny has some great work in his portfolio, I'm wondering if I can transfer those 50 bucks to use him instead lol.

I did some searching i stumbled upon this. http://fineartamerica.com/profiles/daniel-azaceta.html

He looks like he's the new guy and takes the walk ins.
Spend some time finding the right artist cover ups are much harder the second time around.

you got any suggestions on who in NJ? Philly is out of reach because of my work schedule unless they are open on Sundays then it could be a possibility.

William Webb is good with colors. Not sure about cover ups though.

I also like Sean Zee from NJ, not sure about his website.
