I had a 4 hour sitting on Thursday last week, and my tat is really peeling alot today...
I guess this is normal, but is it normal for the black to fade a bit...?
The artist told me that the gray wash she was using it would be normal for it to really lighten up as it healed, but i want to make sure the black is bold, so if it heals lightened maybe i'll need a touchup...?
This is my first one, and the aftercare advice i was given was to wash it with an antibacerial soap, use a triple antibiotic cream for 3 days then switch over to a lotion like lubriderm... i have followed all these intsructions to a T...
Here's a pic of it after the first sitting, i have 4 hours to go yet, which is scheduled for 12 days from today...

Looks perfectly normal. No tattoo will ever be as dark or bold as it was the day you got it. It usually will lighten up a bit and then even more as it heals, but then will regain some of the original "boldness" if that makes sense. Highly doubt you will need a touch up, but it may take a couple months for it to be fully healed.
