I've always talked about buying a yacht and sailing around the world....but it probably aint gonna happen.
When and if the tattoo becomes more important than the fear, he will find himself in the chair with no coaxing needed. That is part of the initial ritual...overcoming fear and knowing thineself. No one can do that for him/her.

I AM DEATHLY TERRIFIED OF needles... but i love tattoos, they are so different from eachother, but i have a high pain tollerance so.....
but seriously if i go to the doctor and i have to get a shot they have to find one nurse to administer the shot and another to hold me down... where as tattoos i will lay down (or sit) willingly for...
But i agree with BadWolf, if he/she doesnt want it leave them alone... THEY DONT WANT IT!!!! i mean do you want your friends trying to pressure you to face your worst fear?? i think not. When they are ready they will be ready, until then leave it alone....

| i am not forcing him. HE talks about gettin the tattoo a lot. so im just tryin to find ways to help him. like i said before i dont give a shit what he does. he asked for help or a way to get over it. |

He sounds needy. And the most compassionate thing you can do for a needy person is to slap them upside the head with a blast of reality. Otherwise, they might make a career out of being needy.
If it were my friend, I'd simply tell him to grow a set of balls or shut the fuck up...I'd tell him I hate people who whine about wanting to do things and allow fear to stand in their way of actually doing it, and that if he was going to be a twat all his life, he might make me look bad, so he should find new friends.
That will either get him to make the decision, or at least get him to quit with the drama queen routine before he becomes unbearably annoying.
