Many studios charge by time and many charge by the piece. Price will depend inimitable size, detail, and where you get it. Best bet is to ask the studio. And what are the chances we could talk you out of something as cliche and boring as a forearm of flames?

If those flames wrap all the way around your arm, then $450-500 is probably reasonable. You could probably find some dude who will do it for less, but this is permanent art and you get what you pay for. Take your idea to an artist with a good reputation and see what he/she says.

My cousins sleeve starts out with flames at the wrist. It fits the sleeve though because the entire thing is hotrod related. That being said I still think stand alone flame tattoos are pretty lame.
