|
|
hey people, can anyone direct me to a site or a artist who can help me find a 'blueprint tattoo design"?
i dont mean an outline of an actual tattoo either,
now when i say blueprint tattoo i mean a blueprint design such as, an architectural write up or any sort of construction blueprint/layout. Something that looks proper, straight lines(mostly), degrees, numbers, and all that "blueprint stuff".
in the end i want a blueprint design over my rib cage with a puzzle peice created out of the blueprints, but i want it to all blend together so the puzzle peice isnt SO noticable.
Any feedback will be appreciated. thanks |

A cool bold engineering or drafting style peice would be way cooler. Like Blueprint as background, but compasses, rulers, pencils, desktop items, maybe a magnifying glass or something on there too. Just a blueprint is gonna be cheesy. I'm planning on a pirate map as the filler for my next couple pieces, with like a coins, a hour glass, etc, as the actual pieces. _________________

| I think straight lines are difficult for many reasons in a tattoo. A blueprint is usually made up of many many straight lines. But, it is a neat idea. I'd be interested in what others have to say...especially the artists. |

straight lines on your rib cage are going to be nearly impossible to pull off. just fyi. even for an amazing artist. i've never seen a blue-print tattoo and i doubt there are many out there... your best bet if you are really dead set on it is to take a blue print to an artist and have them recreate it on you. however, if its a very busy blue print its going to have to be quite sizeable. if i were you i'd take some time to try to think of some other ideas that you could use before diving into this piece. _________________

why are straight lines difficult to do in general?
the ribs casue they curve, ya?
i want an architecural drawning of a human body, or more specifically (to get a more detailed tattoo) maybe the midsection or head.....well see. but i dont want a man made object like a car or gun or anything "cliche" so to speak.
the puzzle peice is going to be small compared to the tattoo itself, on a scale, 1:8 ratio...about. |

and for the same reason mechanical drawers use flat-edge tools - it's exceptionally rare for a human hand to able to consistantly draw or even trace a perfectly straight line by hand. |

LOL.........i'm a mechanical engineer and spent countless hours in front of a drafting board before CAD was invented.
it was a real pain in the ass before the drafting board because we had to chisel all our drawings in rock..... _________________ white by birth ,,,, trash by choice |

if i put a rubber ruler against my body i could draw a straight line.............................................im sure a PROFESSIONAL ARTIST could manage to do the same. hell, you could use a laser line to make a straight line. u made that sound nearly IMPOSSIBLE.... i could think of 5 more ways to make an "oh so difficult straight line" i understand that the ribs may prove a bit more challenging but chest, stomach, back, arm, leg, hand, foot, neck and face and whatever other obvious body parts ive missed, im sure could be done without breaking a sweat............................

Shit man, you know it all. Why'd you ask. Just go some artist to do it. Piece of cake. Post a pic of your sweet tattoo when its done.. _________________
