I personally, have a collection, mentally and with concept art of projects I'd like to work on in the future. When looking at an artist's protfolio, how do you decide which suits their style best. This is both a metaphorical question, as well as specific to me. Going to be heading to Edmonton in August/September to see http://marinastorme.com/tattoogallery01.html Got a booking for 3 days straight, looking to crank out a full sleeve or a large torso/rib piece. If I break out my current concepts/ideeeeeaeeersss, would you pals be able to reccomend which would be best suited to her style?

| Think about how you would like your idea/concept(s) to look. Then look through portfolios and see whose you think has the style you are looking for. Only you will know what you want your ideas to look like, so pick a portfolio or portfolios that are the style you want. |

That's how I did it with Jeff. I gave him a list of objects that I was interested in getting and the areas on my body that I wanted for placement and asked him which object(s) and placement would get him excited about doing some work. He jumped on the opportunity, even moving some other appointments around so that we could fit in the dates that would work best for me. |

September quickly approaches. Really psyched for this. Getting a full leg sleeve from ankle to kneecap. Either going for a "sinister nurse" new school pinup style with some crazy syringes, and a hospital gas mask type dealy...or a take on red riding hood.
OR, whilst talking to her, she suggested that her black and grey work was twice as fast, and twice as good. I haven't considered a B&G piece by her, as I was just blown away by her colour work, and bright colour seems to be a trending theme in most of my collection. But, what do you guys think?

| Hey man, it looks like she can pull both color and B&G off pretty dam good. Stick to your guns and go for the color I'm sure you wont be dissapointed. Some of her work like the alice in wonderland sleeve are pretty fakin sweet. I thought she was supposed to be heading back east? |
