| So i got my first tattoo today, i didnt have time before work to get the ointment, and my aunt suggested neosporin becuase thats what she used when she got hers. Now when i got to work a co worker told me how very bad it was to use neosporin so i washed it off immediately ( at most 2hrs passed ) then went on my break and got aquaphor and using since. Will my tattoo be ok? |

You'll be just fine, you did no damage.
Keep going with the aquaphor...err on the side of scarcity rather than over saturating it. Too much of any moisturizer is no good. I myself just let it heal dry, and I've had wonderful healing experiences. _________________

Stop using anything on it (optionally use MINIMAL aquaphor once a day)...wash it twice a day gently with unscented antibacterial soap and just let it peel. It's common for it to look distorted during the healing process. Don't stress it, wait until it's fully healed, and if it needs touchups, so be it. _________________

Alrighty thanks again! Heres a pic of it now after a shower, letting it dry. Once it was dry last night i applied the lotion thinly and reapplied only when dried out. I'll be taking a shower soon, letting it dry for a bit then applying more ointment.
